BK's Tools To Help Kill Viruses & Spyware

Warning

Here at BK's Computing we have noticed an alarming rate of infections on both PC's and MAC's with a FAKE virus scan and with FAKE detection of viruses.  If at any time you see anything popping up and begins to run a scan and has one of the names listed:
“Antivirus 1”, XP Antivirus”,“Antivirus 2009”, “Power Antivirus 2009”, “Winantivirus 2009”, “Antivirus 2008”, “Power Antivirus 2008”, “Winantivirus 2008”, (and others they create new ones all the time)
DO
NOT CLICK YES, NO, or the X in the top corner.
MAC people "Yes" you..you are also able to be infected.
If you have a PC  follow these steps to stop the process.
The only way to close this safely is by pushing your Ctrl, Alt, Del buttons and end the task. You can also open your Task Manager by right clicking Taskbar then left click the Task Manager.
If you have a MAC  follow these steps to stop the process.
Open Applications then Utilities, Activity Monitor then highlight the offending process and Click Quit.

Here are a few screen shots to look out for.

If you have seen the above screens on your computer.  You will want to bring your computer to BK's for disinfection.

Here are a few tools that might help out.

ATF Cleaner: This is used to clean your cookies, temp files and history for all users.

Malwarebytes: Malwarebytes has developed a variety of tools that can identify and remove malicious software from your computer.  We don't recommend leaving this on your system after running the scan.

Highjack This!: This is put out by Trend Micro, I am not a fan of their antivirus but this program works well.  If you run this and are not sure what to remove...DON'T.

Bitdefender Antivirus 2012: Here at BK’s we have tested Bitdefender for a year and half and we found that this works better than any other antivirus and anti spyware software on the market. This product will not slow your computer down.

(Make sure you remove any all other antivirus & spyware software before installing Bitdefender)

We hope this helps you out, and prevents a visit to the doctors office
